Blowing your nose in public, and especially at the table, is considered to be a bad manner. Unlike in some other parts of East Asia, it is also considered bad manner to burp. Talking about toilet or other similar topics during or before a meal is not appreciated by most people.

　　在公共場合擤鼻涕，尤其是在飯桌旁，被認為是一種壞習慣。不像一些東亞國家，在西方，打嗝也被認為是一種不好的行為。另外，在飯前或吃飯時談論一些關于廁所之類的惡心的話題是不被大多數人們所欣賞的。

　　It is impolite for a guest to leave the table during a meal, or before the host/hostess gives the signal at the end. After finishing eating, try to place all your dishes in the same way as they were at the start of the meal. It is inappropriate to ask for a doggy bag when you are a guest. Save the doggy bag for informal dining situations.

　　在用餐過程中，當主人未給出離開的信號提前離開是一種不禮貌的行為。當我們用完餐后，盡量把所有的盤子放回飯前它們所在的位置。如果你是一個客人，去索要食物打包袋是不合適的。把那些食物打包袋留到非正式的用餐場合下使用吧!

　　When drinking alcoholic beverages, it is a Japanese custom to serve each other, rather than pouring the beverage into one's own glass. You are supposed to periodically check your friends' cups, and serve them more once their cups are getting empty. Likewise, if some one wants to serve you more alcohol, you should quickly empty your glass and hold it towards that person.

　　在日本喝酒時,當地習慣是互相斟酒,而不是自己往自己的酒杯里倒酒。你應該不時地看看你的朋友的酒杯，當他們的酒杯快要見底的時候，就為他們添一些酒。同樣的，如果其他人想再為你倒一些酒，你應該迅速將你酒杯里的酒喝完并把酒杯舉向即將為你斟酒的那個人。
